Shoes!!! They have been any obsession of mine since I could remember. It only seem fitting that I obsessively take photos of them. It made taking the photos more interesting because it was a subject that I was so involved in. What I basically wanted to do was show how much fun I had and the joy buy shoes brings me
Nice shoe pics! You can really see the many detailed patterns and shapes that are associated in a pair of shoes. Something I've never really noticed before until seeing these pictures. I especially like the first shot in the series. Great cropping and focus.
ReplyDeleteI love you idea with photographing shoes. You really captured the obsession of many girls including myself. I cannot pick a favorite because I really like how all of them were done. I think you put a lot of thought behind each picture. The depth of field on some of them was done really nicely to capture the detail on some of them, putting more important parts into focus. Great job!
ReplyDeletePhotographing shoes is a great idea. For the obsession assignment it is really cool idea. For many people shoes can be a way of expressing oneself and can also show how you love shoes.
ReplyDeleteI like how in these pictures you show parts of shoes rather than the entire shoe. It leaves the viewer wondering what the rest of the shoe looks like. Very creative! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteI especially like the last two photographs, where the shoes created negative and positive space and became more abstracted. The fact that they are photographs of shoes is gotten across, but in a more fine art way than a commercial way.
ReplyDeleteThe shoes are all cropped in a manner that you focus on specific details. My favorites in the series is the first and third photograph. You have photographed these shoes in a purposeful way, highlighting maybe what you love about that particular shoe so much.
ReplyDeleteBrittany,
ReplyDeleteI like how you cropped some of your images and only focused on part of the shoe. I did not know they were all images of shoes at first, nice job with the cropping.

I really like the last one with the silver shoes. I think the stong part about it are all the diagonals used to create some space and direction. nice job.
ReplyDeleteI really like the way you chose to compose these photos through very close up shots. Your use of depth of field really gives the images life and causes the focal point to pop out at you. Awesome cropping/bordering as well, really adds to the images presentation.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea. I never thought of shoes looking that beautiful in a photograph. I like the angle you shot them from. Great focus and nice choice of colors.
